The Butterfly Effect

I would like to tell you about ‘The Butterfly Effect’  focused on main character Evan Treborn. I would like to introduce Evan. He is 21 years old, he is university student and he is brought up in some little twon. In small town, he has friends who are Reni, Kailey and Tomi. He has mother and father, but his father is put in jail. When he was a child, he looked homely and he played a prank, but not a harmless prank. However, when he is brought up as an adult, he is smart, handsome,  intelligent, bright and he has a nice beard. Additionally, he is a nice gentleman, but  his appearance depends on the past. After he left the small town, he was peaceful, but he got to know the past, he was unstable and moody.

I would like to tell you about a life changing experience for Evan. In a small town, Evan and his friends did a mean prank. They exploded a bomb at one house. They were a little bit young, but it was a mean prank. When a bomb  exploded, one woman and baby died, but Evan didn’t remember. He often forgot his memory. So, his mother let him write in a diary. Until Evan becomes adulthood, he didn’t remember that incident, but when he returned to the past, he realized the incident. This experience is the cause of his suffering later on. After he left the small town, one day, he read his diary by accident. He recalled the mean prank, but he didn’t remember it well. So, he came back to small town, and he met Kailey. He asked her about the terrible memory. So, she was disappointed with him, and she commited suicide. When Evan heard about Kailey’s death, he was stunned. So, he decided to change the past.

However, when he changed the past, the present flowed in an undesirable way. In spite of that, he continuously changed the past like a Mobius strip. Before he changed the past, he was a nice gentleman. However, after he changed the past, his mind was in a stew because the present flowed in an undesirable way. Eventually he returned  to babyhood, and he commited suicide. This event showed very well that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly’s wing can ultimately cause a typhoon half way around the world. Before he knew about returning to the past, he visited astrologer with his mother. When astrologer predicted the future, she said”Evan didn’t have a soul”. At the time, Evan didn’t realize what that meant, so he had bad moods, and went off. This was a foreshadow that he would  die later.
While I was watching this movie, I recalled an animation ‘The Girll Who Leapt Through Time’.  ‘The Girll Who Leapt Through Time’, main character returned to the past and she redeemed her mistake, but this had an effect on the other people, and she realized that. The lessons from those movies is that I reflect on my mistakes, and now if I correct my shortcomings, I’ll be better. In conclusion, I realize that what I am doing now is a result in the future. So, I will try harder from now on.

Life Change Experience

I would like to tell you about an experience that changed my life. In 2013, I went to the army. In Korea, all males go to the army. Before I went to the army, I weighed 110 lbs. So, my waist was too slim and I had to put on clothes for women. However, when I was at the military I exercised every day, and I was so hungry. So, I ate much food. In addition, when I exercised I ate health supplements. After I went to the army, this effort pay off because now I weigh 136 lbs. I believe that going to army was a life changing experience.

After Graduation

I am going to write about what I am going to do after graduation. After graduation, I want to be a police officer who makes our society upright. Since I was a child, I wanted to be a  police officer because I have felt that crimes need to be eridated. Also, police officer’s help people and they are proud of me. Next, police officer is a stable job to earn money. I want to work at Seoul because Seoul has a lot of people, so I will help more people. Being a police officer is hard to everyone. Thus, I need to study hard and do exercise hard. So, this is what I plan to do after I graduate.

My First Overseas Travel

My First Overseas Travel

This time I’d introduce about my first overseas travel. Three years ago,  I took a overseas trip for the first time. I traveled with my friends to Japan. At first, we went to Busan to take a ship. It was terrible beacuse I got seasick. When we reached Japan, we were thrilled. In Japan, we went to Osaka at first. There were so many different foods.  We ate Ramen, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki. In Osaka, the most memorable thing was Universal Studio Japan. There were Spider Man, Back to the Future, Jaws, Chucky, and Harry Potter. Each things were very exiting. Next time, If I have a chance, I want to go again.

Ulung Island

Winter Vacation

This time, I’d like to introduce about my last winter vacation. At last winter vacation, I was the soldier who was on duty at Ulung Island. Ulung Island is a lot of snow the Korea. I  have lived in Gyeongju, so I was not used to a lot of snow. One day, Ulung Island area’s amount of snow fell reached 1M in 20’O clock. So I cleared snow all days. I was very tired and it was terrible, but it was not too bad because I was with my partners. In Ulung Island childs dont’ receive private lessons. So, on the weekeds, I did private lessons to children. I teached Japanese beacause my major is Japanese. I felt worthiness to teach children. Two years of army life was so hard, but later it was amazing memories.

My Father

         I’d like to introduce my father who is important to me. He is 54 years old and he is a high school teacher who teaches history. His name is Jong Hun Kwon. He has a few wrinkles and beard. He likes day hiking on weekends. He belongs to a mountain club and he is the chairman of the mountain club. He likes to go day hiking, so that he sometimes goes to mountains overseas. He had gone to Kilimanjaro which is the highest mountain in Africa. I like to go day hiking too, so I go day hiking with him. One day, My father and me will go Mount Everest which is the highest mountain on the earth. Since I was a child, he is strict. So, I was beaten to him and was afraid of him, but now I respect him.

Self Introduction

    My name is Tae Hyung Kwon. I would like to introduce myself. At first, let’s know about my family. There are four people in my family, father, mother, younger sister, and me. My father is high school teacher he teaches history. My mother is a housewife and she is Buddhist. My sister is a university student and her major is biotechnology.

    Next, I will introduce my hobbies. My hobbies are listening to music and playing computer games. First, I like listening to music. If I listen to music I become relaxed and my mind calms down. I also listen to music even when I sleep. That means that I love listening to music. Second, I like playing computer games. My favorite computer game is ‘League of Legends’. If I play ‘League of Legends’, I am released from stress.

    At last, I’d like to introduce about my future. Since I was a child, I’ve decided to be a police officer. The reason is that I want to expel the evils from our society and help people. I know it isn’t really a piece of cake, but I will challenge no matter how difficult it is.
